Saudi Arabia comprehensively supports industrial innovation as part of Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a leading industrial power based on knowledge and technology. Key Initiatives Supporting Industrial Innovation in Saudi Arabia

1. Innovative Factories Grant Initiative

Launched by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, this initiative provides financial grants of up to 2 million SAR to support R&D and innovation projects in the industrial sector. It aims to develop new industrial products and facilities, enhancing the local industry's competitiveness.

2. Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDIA)

This is the government body responsible for coordinating and funding R&D and innovation efforts in the Kingdom. 4. "Saudi Innovates" Initiative

5. AI and Data Initiatives

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) leads initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation in the Kingdom. These projects focus on data and AI fields to support industrial innovation.

Strategic Goals Under Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia aims to achieve several strategic goals in the industrial sector, including:

  • Reaching 4,000 factories by 2030, as part of the National Industrial Strategy.

  • Achieving 84% local content in the industrial sector to strengthen national capabilities.

  • Transforming the Kingdom into a global tech hub through initiatives like AIM and Fuel, which improve access to R&D infrastructure and support venture capital funds.
